Using Autofill with Android Floating WindowPosted by Gabriela Nárožná Apr.08, 2014 in Tutorials & Tricks
Autofill on Android – part 2
(This is an extension of my earlier tutorial: Sticky Password Autofill on Android)
In order to allow you to take full advantage of Sticky Password functionality, we’ve included our own embedded browser in the Sticky Password App for Android. (This was necessary because of legal restrictions on add-ons and plugins for the default mobile browser – Chrome by Google.)
Find out more about using the autofill function in the embedded Sticky Password browser.
In this blog, we’ll cover using autofill with the Floating Window feature. (We’ll cover other autofill options in another blog.)
In Sticky Password select the Web Account you want to launch. Tap Launch.
Now select Floating Window.
The Floating Window appears above your mobile applications.
Now you can run your favorite browser. Tap Copy Login in Floating Window.
Long-press the Login field (press and hold your finger on it for two seconds). You will see the menu with items: Paste and Clipboard. Select Paste.
Do the same for the Login field. In Floating Window tap on Copy Password. Long-press the Password field (press and hold your finger on it for two seconds). You will see the menu with items: Paste and Clipboard. Select Paste and it’s done.
With your login and password filled in, now just tap the login button on the website to log into your account.
