fb-post51The following tutorial applies to Sticky Password 7.

Today I’ll show you how to connect your computer – notebook or PC – to your StickyAccount.

Your StickyAccount is your online account where you can manage your Sticky Password 7 license and settings, and everything to do with backing-up and syncing your passwords on your authorized devices using Sticky Password cloud storage.

Your StickyAccount is protected by your StickyPass and the connection uses HTTPS protocol to ensure secure communication when you log in.

First things first: create your StickyAccount. if you need help, check out the tutorial.

Now you’re ready to set up Sticky Password on your PC for backing up and synching passwords with other devices – through your StickyAccount. I’ll cover the three scenarios to get connected:

a) you’re just getting started and are installing Sticky Password on your PC for the first time,

b) you’ve already installed the Sticky Password Trial version on your PC and are now ready to connect to your StickyAccount,

c) you’ve been using the Sticky Password Desktop version, and now would like to backup or synch your passwords using your StickyAccount.

a) Installing Sticky Password on your PC for the first time:

(As a reminder, please make sure you’ve created your StickyAccount before moving to the next step.)

After installation Sticky Password, the Enable online synchronization window appears.

Click I already have a StickyAccount.

Enter your StickyAccount credentials: the StickyID (email address) and StickyPass you entered when you created your account.

Click Connect.

In just a couple of moments, you’ll have confirmation that Sticky Password on your computer will be communicating with your Sticky Account.

Click OK.

PC-3Next you’ll be prompted to select the browsers that you will use with Sticky Password. You’ll be able to choose from the browsers that have been identified on your PC. Check the appropriate boxes, and click Next.

The next screen will confirm that the configuration with the browsers you have selected has been successful.

Click Finish.

PC-5Next you’ll be prompted to enter your Master Password.

Note: This is your unique Master Password that only you know. It is used to protect your passwords and data in your Sticky Password database whether you have one device or several. You should have only one Master Password.

Enter your Master Password for your existing cloud database and click Unlock.

PC-6That’s all there is to it. You now have Sticky Password running on your computer, and now you can take advantage of all the backup and synching capabilities!

b) Connecting to your StickyAccount when you already have the Sticky Password Trial version installed on your computer:

(As a reminder, please make sure you’ve created your StickyAccount before moving to the next step.)

If you’re currently using Sticky Password (trial version) on your pc, it’s very easy to take advantage of the backup functionality, and synchronization across your devices available in Sticky Password.

Right click on the Sticky Password icon in the system tray and select Open Sticky Password.

The main dialog will open.

Click Enable online sync.

Enter your StickyAccount credentials: the StickyID (email address) and StickyPass you entered when you created your account.

Click Connect.

In just a couple of moments, you’ll have confirmation that Sticky Password on your computer will be communicating with your Sticky Account.

Click OK.

PC-11That’s all there is to it. Sticky Password running on your computer is now connected to your StickyAccount, and now you can take advantage of all the backup and synching capabilities!

c) Connecting to your StickyAccount when you already have the Sticky Password Desktop version installed on your computer:

(As a reminder, please make sure you’ve created your StickyAccount before moving to the next step.)

If you’re currently using Sticky Password Desktop (version 7) on your pc, it’s very easy to take advantage of the backup functionality, and synchronization across your devices available in Sticky Password.

Right click on the Sticky Password icon in the system tray and select Open Sticky Password.

The main dialog will open.

Click Menu in the upper right corner and select Settings.

PC-13Select the My Account tab and click Connect to StickyAccount.

Enter your StickyAccount credentials: the StickyID (email address) and StickyPass you entered when you created your account.

Click Connect.

In just a couple of moments, you’ll have confirmation that Sticky Password on your computer will be communicating with your Sticky Account.

Click OK.
