fb-post49Today I’ll show you how to connect your iOS device (iPhone or iPad) to your StickyAccount.

Your StickyAccount is your online account where you can manage your Sticky Password 7 license and settings, and everything to do with backing-up and syncing your passwords on your authorized devices using Sticky Password cloud storage.

Your StickyAccount is protected by your StickyPass and the connection uses HTTPS protocol to ensure secure communication when you log in.

First things first: create your StickyAccount. If you need help, you can check out the tutorial.

Now you’re ready to set up Sticky Password on your iOS device for synching passwords and more. I’ll cover the two scenarios to get connected:

a) installing Sticky Password on your iPhone for the first time, and

b) you already have Sticky Password on your iPhone.

Either way, you’ll be able to safely and securely synch passwords and data across your devices, as well as backup using Sticky Password cloud storage.

a) Installing Sticky Password on your iOS device for the first time.

Begin by downloading Sticky Password on iTunes. Tap to install and run Sticky Password for the first time.

On the first screen, tap Connect To Existing.

On the first screen, you will see information about your license.

NOTE: This must be the same Master Password that you created to protect your passwords and data in Sticky Password.

That’s all there is to it. You now have Sticky Password running on your iOS device, and can take advantage of all the backup and synch capabilities.

b) Connecting to your StickyAccount when you already have Sticky Password installed on your iPhone.

If you’re currently using Sticky Password on your iPhone or iPad, it’s very easy to take advantage of the synchronization across your devices, or backup functionality available in Sticky Password.

Login to Sticky Password on your iOS device and tap the Settings button.

ios8

Select My StickyAccount.

ios9

Select Create new or connect to existing StickyAccount.

ios10

Tap Connect To Existing.

ios11

Enter your StickyAccount credentials: that is, the StickyID (email address) and StickyPass you entered when creating your online StickyAccount.

Tap Connect.

ios12

In a few moments, Sticky Password on your iPhone will be communicating with your StickyAccount. Congratulations!

On the first screen, you will see information about your license.

Tap Continue.

NOTE: When connecting to your StickyAccount, the Sticky Password installation on your iOS device will evaluate whether the encrypted database on your phone and the encrypted database backed-up in your Sticky Account belong to the same account. In order for the database to be backed up, it is necessary for you to use the same unique Master Password of the encrypted database on your iPhone with that of the encrypted database backed-up in your cloud StickyAccount.

As a reminder, your Master Password is the unique Master Password that you created to protect your passwords and data in Sticky Password.

If the cloud database uses a different Master Password from the one for your local database, the following dialog will appear. Please enter the correct Master Password to the cloud database and tap OK.
